Guided Trail Rides for Beginners and Experienced Riders in Camphill, AL. We have 25 miles of trails to explore on the property. If you are a Beginner Rider we will train you how to ride before we ride out of the arena or we may pony or lead your horse. If you are a BARN TO BE WILD, Experienced Rider and want to pick up the transitions to a lope or gallop just let your lead guide know. Mixed groups of Beginners and Experienced Riders must stay in a walk to trot on the trails!

Booking a Trail Ride or Ranch Riding Class @ G and L FARMS: Thank you for your interest or for booking with Me, Chanoah Orr the manager, lead wrangler, and trainer @ G and L FARMS. Here is some information on trail rides and the ranch riding classes. Let me know if you have any more questions and I will answer in timely manner.

For any of the trail rides I will pre-ride the horses first and make sure the horse and tack is safe in the covered arena. Then I will do a pre-trail ride lesson where I will train you to ride or sharpen your skills and teach you the proper Versatile Ranch Performance Horse riding cues that you will need to use while riding one of our well-trained, beautiful, Western Disciplined American Quarter Horses. Then we will hit the trails for a one-hour Or three-hour ride depending on your riding skill levels and stamina and what you decide to go with from our service options.

The booking times are 9:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., or 4:00 p.m. CST. Monday-Friday. An one-hour trail ride adventure could last up to 3 hours total if all the riders are beginners. And could last 4-5 hours if it is a ranch riding class plus 1-hr trail ride Or a 2-hour experienced rider/wrangler trail ride.

If you Book the 2-hour exp. rider/wrangler trail ride you have the option of jogging and loping on the trail ride. Upon which your wrangler will continue to be your guide and lead the upper and downward transitions upon your request as long as your riding partner is not a rookie rider and it is a safe area with safe footing to perform the transitions.

I suggest you pack drinks and snacks and take a few hours to enjoy horses, the cows, the ranch, the farms, the nature, and the wildlife.

If you would like to learn how to feed, water, catch, lead, groom, tack & care for a horse as well as learn some neat cowboy things like how to box, fence, and/or rope a cow and participate in tacking your own horses then the

#1 Ranch Riding & Horse Care Lesson/Class with up to 1-hr. Trail Ride is your option and it is $80/adult and $60/child or if 2 riders $140.00 if two children $100.00 for 3-4 hours of ranch education that includes up to a 1 hour trail-ride with the ranch riding mini-lesson in the arena.

Group Ranch Riding & Horse Care Classes: The rider limit per class is 2 people per booked class. Which means if you are booking for more than 2 people the others will need to book at a different time or hang out at the picnic table in the barn, hike the trails, or ride with the Lead Wrangler David Orr giving the tour of the farm and trails on the John Deere Gator until the riders get back from each 15-min. ride. or 30-min. ride depending on how many are in the group riding. If there are 4-6 riders in a group the rides will be $50 per person for the lesson and $30 per rider for 30 mins. of trail riding in groups of 2 and if there are 8+ riders the rides will be 15 mins. per 2 riders and in groups of 2 so that way we have plenty of time to give all riders a ride and it will be $50 per person for the lesson and $15 per rider for 15 mins. of trail riding.

The #2. 1 hr. Beginner/Ranch Rookie/Pleasure Trail Ride option starts at $60/rider or if 2 riders $50/rider for one hour

If you are an experienced/wrangler, intermediate/ranch hand or advanced rider or a wrangler the

You will also be allowed to ride your horse into upward and downward transitions (jog/trot/extended trot/lope/extended lope) being led by Chanoah. This option starts at $60/rider or if 2 riders $50/rider for one hour.

REAL RIDER REVIEW:

Last week my family and I visited G and L Farms for a Ranch Riding, horse care Class & 1-hr. Trail Ride

to celebrate our youngest turning 8.

We all had a wonderful time and loved learning together.

Chanoah was amazing, she was a fantastic teacher for each of our children: ages 16 and 8. She walked them through each step of caring and riding the horses and gave them the confidence to be successful. Thank you G and L Farms for a wonderful day!
